The most beautiful expression of your heart comes when trust and worship stand in full opposition to what’s happening around you.
You can be caught up in all your doing for God and miss God in it all. You can also be resting and trying to seek Him when He’s asking you to go out where He is leading you. The way isn’t “I do more and have less intimacy, or I do less and have more intimacy.” The goal is, in all your doing- be with HIM in it all.
Reading about nature is fine. But if a person walks in the woods and listens carefully, he can learn more than what is in books, for they speak with the very voice of God. I love to think of nature as an unlimited broadcasting station, through which God speaks to us every hour if we will only tune in.
Oh, there are unspeakable breadths, and lengths, and depths, and heights of the love of God for you to revel in and discover by the telescope and microscope of faith! Glory to God! You need not fear that the experience will wear out or grow tame. God is infinite, and your little mind and heart cannot exhaust the wonders of His wisdom and goodness and grace and glory in one short lifetime.
We would be still and know that You are God…. We stand in awe of You…, Your awesome holiness, majestic splendour, blazing glory, limitless power, and unquestionable sovereignty. We worship You for Your flawless character, Your infinite knowledge and wisdom, Your absolute justice, unswerving faithfulness, unending mercy…. We bow our hearts and bend our knees before… Your dazzling beauty, Your fascinating personality, Your incomprehensible humility, Your unsearchable understanding, and Your unfathomable love….Our greatest need is to have a far greater revelation of what You are really like. We ask You to meet that need.
The world needs the Creator to create in you and through you the expressions of heaven. The time is now for a revival of creativity, and for a spiritual renaissance to awaken the world to true love. There are inventions, art, songs, books, and films that are waiting to be written. I hope this inspires the psalmist in you to be a friend of God and a pioneer who will understand the power of your song.
I will both lay down in peace and rest, for you God, cause me to dwell in safety. Psalm 4:8. We are in a battle, spiritually and physically. While we are doing what we need to do to combat all this craziness that is going on in the world, we must all remember to reset ourselves. To take breaks. To get away and do something else. Worship, dance, read your Bible. Go for a walk. This is what will make us stronger and keep us out of fear. Fear wants us to regress, to shut up, to stay silent, to freeze, do nothing. But I REFUSE to do nothing. When you are fearful, you will not make good decisions or have a clear head.
