Lust is the craving for salt of a man who is dying of thirst.
What settings are you in when you fall? Avoid them. What props do you have that support your sin? Eliminate them. What people are you usually with? Avoid them. There are two equally damning lies Satan wants us to believe: 1) Just once won’t hurt. 2) Now that you have ruined your life, you are beyond God’s use, and might as well enjoy sinning.
The devil could only tell Jesus to jump off the roof of the temple; he couldn’t actually push him. Satan is a defeated foe. When Jesus has your back, the devil has no more power over you than you choose to concede to him. He whispers into your ear but can’t make you do anything.

Never do anything which you know perfectly well is going to be the means of temptation to you. If you know that certain things, which may not be bad in and of themselves, generally get you down and you are a worse person afterwards than you were before, do not do them; never, as it were, provide yourself with the occasion to sin.
Sin will not come to you saying, “I am sin.” It would do little harm if it did. Sin always seems good and pleasant and desirable at the time of commission. Oh Get wisdom! Get discernment
