Amazing isn’t it? Peter and John had been in the company of Jesus for three years, had witnessed his many miracles, had listened to his many stories, had seen him in prayer and still they did not know who he was. But then you and I are in the same boat. We can read the scriptures, go to confession, listen to sermons, attend church for all we’re worth-and it’s no good unless Jesus Christ is risen in our hearts. This has to be our fervent prayer today.

We have a God who delights in impossibilities.
James Hudson Taylor
We are supernatural people, born again by a supernatural birth, kept by a supernatural power, sustained on supernatural food, taught by a supernatural Teacher from a supernatural Book. We are led by a supernatural Captain in right paths to assured victories. The risen Saviour, ere He ascended on high, said: ‘All power is given unto Me. Go ye therefore.”
Leonard Ravenhill
No faith is required to do the possible; actually only a morsel of this atom-powered stuff is needed to do the impossible, for a piece as large as a mustard seed will do more than we have ever dreamed of.
Thomas Watson
The angel fetched Peter out of prison, but it was prayer that fetched the angel.
Corrie Ten Boom
The wonderful thing about praying is that you leave a world of not being able to do something, and enter God’s realm where everything is possible. He specializes in the impossible. Nothing is too great for His almighty power. Nothing is too small for His love.
