George Muller

If God does bless us in reading His word, He expects that we should be obedient children and that we should accept the Word as His will, and carry it into practice. If this be neglected, you will find that the reading of the Word, even if accompanied by prayer, meditation, and faith, will do you little good. God does expect us to be obedient children and will have us practise what He has taught us. The Lord Jesus Christ says, ‘If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.’” And in the measure in which we carry out what our Lord Jesus taught, so in measure are we happy children. And in such measure only can we honestly look for help from the Father, even as we seek to carry out His will.

Dietrich Bonhoeffer

If we want to be Christians, we must have some share in Christ’s large-heartedness by acting with responsibility and in freedom when the hour of danger comes, and by showing a real sympathy that springs, not from fear, but from the liberating and redeeming love of Christ for all who suffer. Mere waiting and looking on is not Christian behaviour. The Christian is called to sympathy and action, not in the first place by his own sufferings, but by the sufferings of his brethren, for whose sake Christ suffered.

Reinhard Bonnke

If you never place yourself in a position where you must depend on God, your faith is meaningless. Your belief may be very positive, but it is a dead positive if you do not act on it. Deeds come alive with faith, and faith comes alive with deeds.
Believing goes on in the heart and mind, unseen, until it translates into something we do. The power of God operates when we operate by faith. The famous chapter of Hebrews eleven was written to show that because the ancients of faith believed – they dared. Let us dare to do something special for Jesus.
