We never know how God will answer our prayers, but we can expect that He will get us involved in His plan for the answer. --------- Daily Christian Quote Website

Madeleine L’Engle

We would like God's ways to be like our ways, his judgments to be like our judgments. It is hard for us to understand that he lavishly gives enormous talents to people we would consider unworthy, that he chooses his artists with as calm a disregard of surface moral qualifications as he chooses his saints. Often we forget that he has a special gift for each one of us, because we tend to weigh and measure such gifts with the coin of the world's marketplace. The widow's mite was worth more than all the rich men's gold because it represented the focus of her life. Her poverty was rich because all she had belonged to the living Lord. ---------

God's love manifest through the sunrise and sunset, the mountain and the valley, the tree and the flower, the roar of the beast and the song of the bird. Through your heartbeat and your breathing, in His care for you and His supply of your needs, in taking care of you and watching over you. The Bible clearly declares His love when He says: 'I have loved you with an everlasting love.' ---------

Jesus is our example: He was not a wild-eyed fanatic standing on street corners, screaming at people, "Accept Me or else!" He preached to crowds and became friends with "sinners," but He did not use a "canned approach," pressuring each person into a "sinner’s prayer." I can’t find that approach in the teachings and examples of Jesus. Whether it is four laws, five Scriptures, or any other "approach," sharing Jesus cannot be reduced to a method. Paul David Tripp

Every painful thing we experience in relationships is meant to remind us of our need for God. And every good thing we experience is meant to be a metaphor of what we can only find in Him.... We settle for the satisfaction of human relationships when they were meant to point us to the perfect relational satisfaction found only with God.

Jean-Baptiste de la Salle

The more you abandon to God the care of all temporal things the more He will take care to provide for all your wants. But if on the contrary you try to supply all your needs Providence will allow you to continue to do just that, and then it may very well happen that even necessity will be lacking to you. For God will reprove you for your lack of faith in reliance on self.

Charles Haddon Spurgeon

In truth he is always with us; for the feast is His, and the hall is His, and every guest is brought in by His grace, and every dish on the table is placed there by His love.
