If you want to be popular, preach happiness. If you want to be unpopular, preach holiness.
Martyn Lloyd-Jones
Never do anything which you know perfectly well is going to be the means of temptation to you. If you know that certain things, which may not be bad in and of themselves, generally get you down and you are a worse person afterwards than you were before, do not do them; never, as it were, provide yourself with the occasion to sin.
A. W. Tozer
We need never shout across the spaces to an absent God. He is nearer than our soul, closer than our most secret thoughts.
Louie Giglio
It’s been said that you can’t understand someone until you’ve walked a mile in their shoes. Well, Jesus walked way more than a mile; He walked thirty-three years in human skin. He knows how hard life can be in a broken, sinful world. He knows how difficult it is to be part of that world and still remain connected to the Father. But there’s something even more startling to realize. Not only did Jesus walk on earth and face the same struggles you face, but Jesus wants to walk with you. It’s why He created you, so you can know Him and make Him known.
Rick Warren
Humility applies all I read in Scripture to me. Pride applies it to everyone else but me.
Brian Zhand
The Cross is not the appeasement of an angry and retributive God. The cross is not where Jesus saves us from God, but where Jesus reveals God as Saviour. The cross is not what God inflicts upon Jesus, in order to forgive. But what God in Christ endures as he forgives. The cross is where the sin of the world coalesced into a hideous singularity, so that it might be forgiven, en masse across. The Cross is where the world violently sends its sins in the body of the Son of God, and where He absorbed it all saying, "Father forgive them." The cross is both ugly and beautiful. It's as ugly as human sin as beautiful as divine love, but in the end, love and beauty win.
Katherine Walden
A consistently stressed Christian is one who has not learned to navigate through stressful experiences by trusting in a consistently faithful God.
Elisabeth Elliot
If you believe in a God who controls the big things, you have to believe in a God who controls the little things. It is we, of course, to whom things look little or big.

So what is the difference between supporting and enabling? Supporting includes assisting with things the other person is capable of doing or doing things that help facilitate them gaining control of their behaviours and life enabling behaviours. On the other hand, keep someone from dealing with the negative consequences of their actions, not dealing with these consequences, give the impression that their behaviour is somehow acceptable.
Dan McCollam
Don’t make assumptions about what God is saying. Ask Him, and be patient while you wait for the answers.
