The blood shed by our Lord paid the price not only to redeem our souls, but also to redeem everything that was lost: people, business, education and government. And there is nothing the devil can do to reverse it. When Jesus cried, “It is finished!” it was not an agonizing gasp, but a triumphant shout proclaiming victory over the one who had boasted before that “this domain and its glory . . . has been handed over to me, and I give it to whomever I wish” (Luke 4:6).
