In Matthew 18:3, Jesus says, “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.” What does He mean? Is He asking us not to be mature? No, what Jesus is actually saying is that childlike faith is maturity. Innocent, simple faith that believes what God says is real and that expects Him to do what He says He will do. That’s the mark of a mature believer, not complicated doctrine and fancy arguments.
