If our minds are stayed upon God, His peace will rule the affairs entertained by our minds. If, on the other hand, we allow our minds to dwell on the cares of this world, God’s peace will be far from our thoughts.
How can a person deal with anxiety? You might try what one fellow did. He worried so much that he decided to hire someone to do his worrying for him. He found a man who agreed to be his hired worrier for a salary of $200,000 per year. After the man accepted the job, his first question to his boss was, “Where are you going to get $200,000 per year?” To which the man responded, “That’s your worry.
The more you pray, the less you’ll panic. The more you worship, the less you worry. You’ll feel more patient and less pressured.
If it’s big enough to worry about, pray about it instead. Don’t suppress or repress it. Confess it to Him. Worry is worthless.
Today, God gives each of us a choice as we face life’s challenges. We can deliberately choose to follow him and rest in His truth and promises or we can choose to surrender our minds to pointless worry and the resulting stress that worry brings. Joshua 24:15
Leave it all in the Hands that were wounded for you.
If God cares for you, why need you care too? Can you trust Him for your soul, and not for your body? He has never refused to bear your burdens, He has never fainted under their weight. Come, then, soul! have done with fretful care, and leave all thy concerns in the hand of a gracious God.
Worry is practical atheism and an affront to God.
If you love God, you never have to worry again.
If you’re going to worry, there’s no need to pray and if you’re going to pray, there’s no need to worry.
