Death may be the King of terrors. But Jesus is the King of kings.
I hope you will learn, what I am always hoping to learn, to rejoice in God continually, knowing that He is really ordering all your circumstances to the one end of making you a partaker of His own goodness, and bringing you within His own sympathy.
The greatest transmission of God’s power takes place through the believer’s prayers and intercessions. Believing prayer is unquestionably the means by which God, in the quickest way, would be able to give to the world those saving powers from the realm of eternity which are necessary before Christ can return and the millennium be ushered in.

Prayer is of transcendent importance. Prayer is the mightiest agent to advance God’s work. Praying hearts and hands only can do God’s work. Prayer succeeds when all else fails.
Now, who is going to trust God for the winged life? You can crawl instead if you wish. God will even bless you if you crawl; He will do the best He can for you, but oh how much better to avail ourselves of our wonderful privileges in Christ and to ‘mount up with wings as eagles, run and not be weary, walk and not faint.’ O beloved friends, there is a life on wings. I feel the streams of His life fill me and permeate my mortal frame from my head to my feet, until no words are adequate to describe it. I can only make a few bungling attempts to tell you what it is like and ask the Lord to reveal to you the rest. May He reveal to you your inheritance in Christ Jesus so that you will press on and get all that He has for you.
I was much buffeted with temptations, but I cried out, and they fled away. They returned again and again. I as often lifted up my eyes, and He “sent me help from his holy place.” And herein I found the difference between this and my former state chiefly consisted. I was striving, yea, fighting with all my might under the law, as well as under grace. But then I was sometimes, if not often, conquered; now, I was always conqueror.
The highest joy to the Christian almost always comes through suffering, No flower can bloom in Paradise which is not transplanted from Gethsemane. No one can taste of the fruit of the tree of life, that has not tasted of the fruits of the tree of Calvary. The crown is after the cross.
Sometimes I ponder the whys of life. It seems to me I’ve been handed a strange assortment of circumstances with which to contend. I’ve even complained that I’ve not liked the way things were going, and then I stop and look back on my life and see how God has worked and put everything together so beautifully. My life’s been full of challenges God has turned into blessings, and my “Why God?” has turned into a triumphant “Why not!”
Prayer, in its most simple form, is communication. If we’re going to be victorious over the works of the flesh, and over the power of the enemy, we must first submit ourselves to God. And prayer is the first step in submitting to God.
By perseverance the snail reached the ark.
