Don’t make assumptions about what God is saying. Ask Him, and be patient while you wait for the answers.
The first assumption we should always make is that someone’s heart is good, not evil. Then even if there was poor intentions, your assumption of good can pull them into the light.
When you assume the protector’s role that rightfully belongs to God, don’t be surprised when your meddling ways blow up in your face.
We all tend to make zealous judgments and thereby close ourselves off from revelation. If we feel that we already know something in its totality, then we fail to keep our ears and eyes open to that which may expand or even changes that which we so zealously think we know.
